After one too many dinners with people who were travelling from overseas, we realised that we no longer wanted to be Australians that knew less about our country than our guests. So we’ve decided that it’s time to use that annual leave that apparently so many Australians don’t take enough of, and we’re taking 6 months off to do a lap of Australia.
The dog? Well, he’s always on leave anyway, and sleeps 20 hours a day, so we guess that he’ll have a lot more scenery to fill those dreams. We’re aware that travelling with a dog will influence what we can and can’t do, particularly with regards to National Parks, but figure the more the merrier for this adventure.
We’ll be traveling from February 2019 and sharing information before and during our trip in the hope that you will share information with us to help us on our journey. Our blog will give you information on some of the fantastic sights we’ve seen, some of the very average sights we’ve seen, and information on our planning process to inspire you and help you learn what to avoid.
We’d love to hear from you so please do leave a comment on any of our posts and don’t hesitate to send an email as well. Even just to say hi!
Enjoy our beautiful country. Wherever you go – you will have a terrific time.
Love Dad
Thank you! And we are always happy to hear suggestions from your adventures 🙂
